Corrections policy

Articles on this site are written by AI. Figures are checked automatically against the evidence and every article is reviewed, but errors can still remain. This is how we fix them.

Where to report an error

Email: [email protected]

Please include the article URL, the passage, and the value you believe is correct with its source. This helps us check it quickly.

What comes first

  • Errors in figures and facts come first (values, sources, periods, retrieval dates, names of laws or descriptions of schemes, mismatches between the Japanese and English text).
  • Comments on wording or readability are handled after that.
  • Disagreement with the AI's opinions (diagnosis, policy proposals) is received as feedback. If a figure or fact inside an opinion is wrong, it is fixed first as an error of fact.
  • A forecast that turns out wrong is not corrected. It stays on the scorecard as a miss.

How corrections are made

  • A corrected version replaces the old one. The article URL stays the same.
  • The new version goes through the automated checks before it is published.
  • For replacements made after the site's launch, a revision history appears at the end of the article, with the date, what was changed and a link to the earlier version.
  • The earlier version stays readable on a separate page linked from the revision history. Those pages are not indexed by search engines.
